American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) supports the increased funding for NIH included in the FY20 spending package and applauds Congress and the President for enacting this important investment in patients, families, and researchers.

This increase brings the FY20 funding for NIH to $41.7 billion, a $2.6 billion increase (+6.65%) compared to FY19. In addition, NICHD (National Institute of Child Health and Human Development) received a $53 million increase in funding to total $1.6 billion. ASRM, along with members who attended Advocacy Day in May, joined with many like-minded organizations to advocate for this increase in NIH funding.
