We are pleased to announce Cindy Adams, ARNP, WHNP-BC, MSN, MAOM, Maj. USAF, ret., has joined The IVF Center and is now seeing patients at our Winter Park location.
Cindy is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a special focus on reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Born and raised in Pascagoula, Mississippi, she received her first nursing degree from the University of South Carolina and began her career as a Registered Nurse (RN) in labor and delivery.
From Carolina, she moved to Denver, Colorado and continued working in labor and delivery at a prominent local level 3 tertiary care women and children’s hospital. Her love for obstetrics expanded as she was accepted into a team of elite nurses working with a maternal-fetal medicine team as part of the AirLife /Flight for Life Flight High-Risk OB Team. She quickly moved into a leadership position becoming the Director of Women’s Services and was certified in reproductive medicine as an RN and acted as Clinical Nurse Specialist.
While in Denver, Cindy received her master’s in organizational management and business. She then accepted an offer to move overseas to assist the start-up of a new reproductive endocrinology and infertility clinic service for a retired Army Lt Col. While there, she was recruited to commission as an officer in the United States Air Force.
During her Air Force tenure, Cindy served in five foreign countries and six stateside bases and received multiple Accommodation and Meritorious medals. She was selected #1 of 25 for a unique Air Force educational scholarship program and awarded a full-ride scholarship to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center. She received her master’s degree in nursing with women’s health nurse practitioner focus and passed board certification testing.
Now retired from service, she has chosen to return to her love of reproductive medicine and infertility and join the team at The IVF Center in Winter Park, Florida.
Cindy is married, has four children and four grandchildren. She has two sweet dogs, Dottie and Gigi who have traveled around the world with her and husband. She loves music, enjoys singing and reading and considers herself a perpetual learner.
